De-Install Canon IR6000

To Deinstall a Canon IR6000, follow these quick and easy steps:

Finisher

  1. Turn off and unplug the machine.

  2. On the back left side of the main unit, located the connector plug.

  3. Press the top of the plug and pull away from the main unit.

  4. Return to the front of the machine.

  5. Pull the latch located at the top center portion of the finisher.

  6. Lift the top door up and to the left.

  7. Locate the handle that has the number 1 on it.

  8. Lift that handle up and to the left.

  9. Locate the screw towards the front of the machine with the head pointing directly to the back of the machine.

  10. Unscrew and save the screw.

  11. This will loosen a square cover in the front right hand side of the finisher.

  12. Remove and save this cover.

  13. Locate the gray plastic button behind the cover that was just removed.

  14. Press the gray plastic button and push the machine in the same direction as you hold the button down.

  15. Replace the square cover to its original location and fasten with the saved screw.

Removing Finisher Trays


  1. Locate the off-white colored covers running below each left side of the trays.

  2. Press the right side area of the cover located directly underneath the tray and pull down towards you. This should release the cover.

  3. Repeat this with the cover located underneath the left side of the lower tray.

  4. Simply pull down on the wires that connect to the lower left side of the trays.

  5. Unscrew and save the screws located under each side of the trays (4 screws total; 2 per tray).

  6. Remove the trays by tilting up and pulling towards you.

  7. Replace the saved screws to their original holes.
