Superior Hard Drive Security

Reduce the risk of anyone extracting sensitive documents from the hard drive, even after the system reaches end of life. The standard DataOverwriteSecurity System (DOSS) automatically overwrites the area of the hard drive used for image processing after the completion of each job, making it virtually impossible to recover documents. At the end of the system’s useful life, the entire hard drive can be overwritten, which destroys the data before it leaves your location.

Replacing the Image Transfer Belt Fuse C350

When your Konica Minolta bizhub C350 or C450 asks you to replace the Image Transfer Belt, often it is just a fuse that needs replacing. This is similar to the luxury car that clicks the Check Engine Light when you have operated the car for a specific number of hours. Your mechanic will reset a switch, give the car a good looking over, and charge your lots of money.

To replace the fuse, first turn off your machine. Open the panel on the right side of the machine.

Lift the tab to open the panel.

Remove two Phillips head screws.

Remove this screw.

Remove this screw.

Open the panel on the left side of the machine and remove the waste toner cartridge.

Lift this tab to open the panel.

Remove the waste toner cartridge from the blue part in the middle.

Pull out the Image Transfer Belt unit. Only grab the Image Transfer Belt unit by the black plastic part. Once the handle springs loose, hold the Image Transfer Belt unit by the black plastic part and the handle. When the Image Transfer Belt Unit is sliding out of the machine, make sure you see which slot the Image Transfer Belt Unit slides.

Remove the Image Transfer Belt Unit by pulling on this plastic part.

Place the Image Transfer Belt Unit on a clean surface. Completely covering your platen glass with clean paper is a good clean surface. Inspect the Belt for damage. If you see any nicks, creases or tears in the Image Transfer Belt, call your Konica Minolta service representative for a new Image Transfer Belt Unit. Near two electrical contacts is a small panel. Remove the screw indicated.

Remove the fuse and replace with a new 250V, 80 milliamp fuse. Before replacing the fuse, it might be good to check that the fuse is working.

Replace the fuse cover. Holding the Image Transfer Belt Unit by the black plastic part and the handle, and slide it back into the correct slot on the right side of the machine. Replace the waste toner cartridge and close the panel. Replace the two screws on the left side and close the panel.
Turn your machine on, and you should have a happy machine.

Handling paper with just the right touch.
To boost your productivity, the bizhub PRESS C8000 incorporates a host of new technologies for handling substrates, improving registration accuracy and maintaining high-speed output with superior reliability.

As paper runs through your printing path, an improved registration unit automatically detects and corrects for image skew after the leading edge of the paper passes the front loop rollers. Because front and rear rollers are driven independently, paper alignment can be more accurate.

A new Hybrid Decurling function combines a series of advanced decurlers with an optional humidification system (HM-101) to provide just the right amount of moisture to the paper after printing. Uncoated stock runs more smoothly – and printed paper cools more quickly as it moves into the finishing stations.

The bizhub PRESS C8000 also has a unique dual fusing system that creates a rich, brilliant finish on heavy paper – the kind of finish you’d only expect from offset equipment.
